Sri Lanka, Sept. 24 -- Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama permitted the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption today (24) to record a statement inside prison from incarcerated Namal Rajapaksa concerning an alleged bribe of Rs. 70 million given to the Urban Development Authority to swiftly acquire the Colombo Fort Transworks Square land for Krrish Transworks Private Limited and obtain necessary approvals for the company.

The court issued this order when the Bribery Commission produced Geethanjali Janaki de Soysa Siriwardena, a former director of the company, before the court today (24).
