Sri Lanka, Sept. 25 -- The twenty-seventh colombo international book fair, organized by the Sri Lanka book publishers association, opens today at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall premises in colombo and runs until october fourth from nine a.m. to nine p.m daily.

This ten-day exhibition offers visitors discounted local and foreign publications.

Central environmental authority chairman professor Tilak Hewawasam urged attendees to avoid bringing polythene onto the exhibition grounds, to minimize pollution.

Tickets for the event can be purchased online to avoid queues.
