CIABOC charges 51 in first four months
Sri Lanka, June 11 -- The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) says that 51 individuals have been indicted by courts during the first four months of this year. Notably, 41 of them are public officials.
Quoting its monthly progress report, the Commission stated that cases were filed against these individuals during the period from January 1 to April 30 this year.
Accordingly, a total of 51 persons have been indicted before court, including 3 individuals at the Colombo Magistrate's Court and 48 at the Colombo High Court.
