Sri Lanka, July 21 -- Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) and the Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) signed a special Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen professional relations and cooperation.

The agreement was signed at the BASL main office in Colombo, with CA Sri Lanka President Tishan Subasinghe and BASL President Rajeev Amarasuriya signing the document.

This marks the first historic occasion where an official cooperation agreement was reached between the accounting and legal professions, the institutes pointed out.
