Sri Lanka, Oct. 1 -- Central Bank Governor Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe said Sri Lanka is likely to reach a staff-level agreement under its ongoing IMF programme "very soon", noting that the Government has already completed a significant portion of the work required to finalise the agreement.

Speaking at the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) headquarters yesterday, Dr. Weerasinghe said the delay had mainly been due to technical and analytical work related to several aspects of the programme.
