Case against Yoshitha Rajapaksa postponed
Sri Lanka, July 24 -- The case filed against former President Mahinda Rajapaksa's son Yoshitha Rajapaksa under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act was ordered by the Colombo High Court to be called for further hearing on August 20.
The case was called today before Colombo High Court Judge Udesh Ranatunga.
The accused, Yoshitha Rajapaksa, did not appear before court at that time.
Representing him, President's Counsel Sampath Mendis submitted facts to court stating that his client was unwell and requested another date for the trial.
Considering the facts presented, the High Court Judge ordered the case to be called on August 20 for further hearing.
