Sri Lanka, Sept. 14 -- Former Mrs. World Caroline Jurie and model Chulapadmendra were acquitted by Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama today (14) over the case filed against them for forcibly removing the crown from 2021 Mrs. World winner Pushpika De Silva and causing her injuries.

The Chief Magistrate issued this order delivering the judgment of the case today.

Delivering the judgment, the Chief Magistrate stated that the prosecution failed to prove the charges brought against the defendants beyond reasonable doubt.

Her bailor appeared in court on behalf of the model Chula Padmendra, who passed away in relation to the incident.
