SriLanka, March 6 -- Corruption charges were filed by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption against Energy Minister Kumara Jayakodi.

The legal action relates to his tenure at the Fertilizer Corporation in 2015. Allegations suggest he committed corruption under Section 70 (b) of the Bribery Act by providing unlawful profit and advantage to a firm named D.S. Construction and Earthmovers.
