Attorney General objects to Yoshitha Rajapaksa's appeal
Sri Lanka, July 22 -- The Attorney General today (22) expressed objection before the Supreme Court to a request made by lawyers of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa's son, Yoshitha Rajapaksa, seeking an order to prevent the hearing of a case filed against him in the Colombo High Court under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
Deputy Solicitor General Janaka Bandara, appearing for the Attorney General, raised this objection when the appeal submitted by Yoshitha Rajapaksa was called for consideration today.
