Sri Lanka, Aug. 19 -- Asuwesuma welfare allowance for this month is scheduled to be credited to the bank accounts of beneficiaries today (19), according to the Welfare Benefits Board.

Accordingly, an amount of Rs. 9,241,892 is scheduled to be credited to the bank accounts of 999,502 beneficiary families under the first phase of the Aswesuma welfare benefits scheme.

Plans are in place to disburse an amount of Rs. 2,231,735 to 212,955 beneficiary families under its second phase.
