Arrested prime suspect confesses to murder of physiotherapist, says Police
Sri Lanka, June 24 -- The prime suspect arrested in Jaffna over the murder of a female physiotherapist in Teldeniya, has confessed to the Police.
The suspect, with his wife and child, is being transferred to the Nuwara Eliya Police Station to obtain detention orders.
The family was apprehended during a joint operation by the Walana Anti-Corruption Unit and the Jaffna District Crime Investigation Bureau at Kaithady in Chavakachcheri.
Police officers intercepted a Kankesanthurai-bound luxury bus following intelligence that the suspects were planning to flee to India.
At the time of the arrest, the bald suspect was wearing a wig, mask, and cap to disguise himself as a Tamil man, while his wife was disguised as a Muslim woman.
