Army launches nationwide dengue prevention operation
Sri Lanka, July 5 -- A large-scale dengue control and public awareness programme took place across the island today (05), targeting areas with a high risk of disease transmission.
The operation, organised in line with the 'Clean Sri Lanka' national initiative, proceeded under the direct guidance and supervision of Army Commander Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo.
A total of 2,026 army personnel, representing various security force headquarters, divisions, brigades, and units, participated in the effort to mitigate health risks.
