Sri Lanka, July 20 -- An army Corporal tragically died on the spot in a fatal road incident where a motorcycle collided with a SLTB bus near the Paramakanda junction close to Anamaduwa town, according to Anamaduwa Police.

The deceased officer is a 38-year-old father of two named Duminda Sandaruwan Wickramaarachchi, who resided in Uriyawa, Anamaduwa.

He has returned home on July 19 after a long military training session held in Trincomalee and was scheduled to report to duty today (20).

He was returning to Uriyawa after dropping his two daughters at their school on his motorcycle when the collision occurred.

One daughter of the deceased corporal is scheduled to sit for the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination this year.
