Sri Lanka, Sept. 6 -- An individual suspected of carrying a firearm has attempted to unlawfully enter a house in the Nanatota area of Kosgoda.

The female owner of the house has lodged a complaint with the police regarding the incident.

Kosgoda Police stated that a round of 9mm firearm ammunition was subsequently recovered near the residence.

Prior to the incident, a male individual had handed over a sum of money to the female homeowner for a certain matter before leaving the premises.

Shortly afterwards, the same man returned and attempted to enter the house carrying what was suspected to be a firearm.

The woman, who observed his actions via CCTV cameras from inside the house, notified the police regarding the incident.
