Sri Lanka, Oct. 9 -- An appeal petition submitted to the Supreme Court by former Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal challenging a case filed against him before the Colombo Permanent Trial-at-Bar in connection with the Greek bond incident was withdrawn.

The petition was withdrawn as an order of the Colombo Permanent Trial-at-Bar regarding the lawsuit is scheduled to be announced, lawyers representing Cabraal informed the court.
