Sri Lanka, April 12 -- Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern, North-Western, and Uva provinces, as well as the Ampara, Batticaloa, and Polonnaruwa districts after 1:00 p.m., according to the Department of Meteorology.

Rain or thundershowers might also occur during the morning in some areas of the Southern province and the Ampara, Batticaloa, and Monaragala districts. Meanwhile, heavy falls of about 75 mm are possible at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and Southern provinces, and the Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts.
