Sri Lanka, May 13 -- The Ministry of Health and Media has taken steps to newly install 16 state-of-the-art cardiac catheterisation machines (Cath Labs) in several major hospitals.

Carried out at a cost of LKR 3,103 million, this marks a significant milestone in Sri Lanka's cardiac care sector.

It is stated that this project, implemented under the guidance of the Minister of Health and Media, Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, will be completed within the year 2026.

This mega project is being implemented with financial provisions secured under three main methods.
