Sri Lanka, Sept. 17 -- The 15th IMF-Japan High-Level Tax Conference for Asian Countries commenced today, bringing together key policymakers, senior tax officials, and international experts to discuss regional tax policies and tax administration.

The two-day conference, scheduled to conclude tomorrow, focuses on strengthening domestic revenue mobilization, improving tax administration, and sharing experiences to address emerging challenges in international taxation.

Deputy Minister of Economic Development Nishantha Jayaweera has departed for Japan to represent Sri Lanka at the summit.
