Sri Lanka, Sept. 9 -- An Indian national inmate, Umnithath Sarathchandran, who died during a clash at the Negombo Prison, was buried on the 2nd under special security at the Public Cemetery belonging to the Negombo Municipal Council, the Criminal Investigation Department informed the court.

This was stated when the case regarding the clash at the Negombo Prison was called yesterday (08) before Negombo Chief Magistrate Shilani Perera.

Meanwhile, another 11 suspects were named yesterday regarding this incident.

The Criminal Investigation Department requested that a direction be issued to the Negombo Prison Superintendent to produce them in court for an identification parade wearing covered clothing.
