Sri Lanka, July 23 -- If the government thinks it can wipe out the opposition, that is a mistake, Member of Parliament Namal Rajapaksa says.

Addressing a public gathering, the Member of Parliament further stated,

"The Deputy Minister (Aruna Jayasekara) says that the opposition is completely swept away. That they will sweep away the remaining portion as well. This is what a Deputy Minister says in a democratic country. Is it out of a desire for suppression that they are keen to extend the age of honourable judges?
