Sri Lanka, June 22 -- Deputy Minister Ruwan Senarath says that the fuel currently being distributed in the country was imported at higher prices during the Middle East conflict period.

Therefore, he stated that it is not possible to reduce fuel prices at this moment.

He further added that in the future, subsidies will definitely be provided for fuel imported at lower prices.
