India, May 4 -- Chief minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) Mamata Banerjee asked her party supporters to wait for sunset as counting of votes was underway on Friday, giving a massive lead to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in trends.

According to counting trends, the BJP was ahead in at least 180 of the total 293 seats where counting was underway, way ahead of the majority mark of 248, according to data by analytics portal PValue.
