New Delhi, May 6 -- A Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker, which serves as an airborne refueling station for US military aircraft issued a "7700" distress signal, indicating an in-flight emergency while passing through the Persian Gulf, according to Flightradar24 data and Iran's Fars news agency. The US Central Command (Centcom) or Pentagon has not issued a statement on confirmation of any KC-135 crash, loss, or emergency over Qatar or the Strait of Hormuz.
