US launches 'revenge' strikes on Iran after MQ-1 drone shot down, destroys air defence and telecom towers
India, June 1 -- The United States said on Sunday it carried out "self-defence strikes" on Iranian radar and drone-control facilities in Goruk and Qeshm Island over the weekend, describing the action as a respons e to what it called "aggressive" behaviour by Tehran.
Meanwhile, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on Monday that its aerospace force targeted an air base linked to what it described as a US attack on a telecommunications tower on Sirik Island in the country's Hormozgan province, Iran International reported. However, it did not reveal the base's location.
