KANPUR, June 18 -- A jewellery shop owner in his 50s was arrested on Wednesday in Kanpur for holding his 15-year-old employee captive at his farmhouse, drugging her and repeatedly raping her, police said. The accused was arrested after the victim complained to Kanpur commissioner of police Raghubir Lal, officers said. According to the police, the teenager started work at the accused's jewellery shop on May 1. Within days, the accused began making inappropriate advances at her and eventually took her to his farmhouse in Bithoor under the pretext of teaching her to ride a scooter.
