India, Oct. 22 -- A five-year-old girl and a woman were killed, and 17 others injured, after a passenger bus veered off the road and rolled down a 50 feet deep gorge at Gulli Gala in the Latti area of Udhampur's Ramnagar tehsil on Wednesday morning.

Officials said the bus (JK02AL-3477) was heading from Panchound to Ramnagar when the driver lost control at Gulli Gala.

The deceased were identified as Takshika (5), daughter of Rakesh Kumar, a resident of Chatrari, and 24-year-old Sunita Devi, wife of Kuldeep Kumar of Panchound. The injured were rushed to the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) in Ramnagar for treatment.
