AGARTALA, April 18 -- The TIPRA Motha Party (TMP) on Friday recorded a landslide victory in the Tripural Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections, meanwhile reducing the BJP's share in the council by half from its previous tally. According to the state election commission (SEC), TMP secured 24 out of 28 seats in the autonomous district council and the BJP could only win four seats. The TTAADC went to polls on April 12, which recorded over 83% voter turnout.
