India, April 4 -- Three men died after allegedly consuming liquor in Meerut's Daurala area on Friday evening, with police launching a probe as the exact cause of death remains unclear.

The Daurala police station in Meerut received information from Aryavart Hospital that three persons had been brought there in an unconscious condition after consuming alcohol. Acting on the alert, the station in-charge along with a police team rushed to the hospital, where all three men died during treatment.

The deceased have been identified as Baburam (60), Jitendra (45), and Ankit alias Daulat (32).
