India, June 11 -- All three Indian seafarers who had gone missing after the attack on the Palau-flagged tanker MT Settebello off the coast of Oman have been confirmed dead, Union minister for ports, shipping and waterways Sarbananda Sonowal said on Thursday. The vessel was carrying 24 Indian crew members when it was struck earlier this week, triggering a search and rescue operation.

The three deceased crew members were identified as Aditya Sharma, a deck cadet; Shivanand Chaurasiya, an engine fitter; and Patnala Suresh, the vessel's chief engineer.
