India, Aug. 17 -- Tamil Nadu CM C Joseph Vijay on Monday announced full waiver of coop farm loans upto Rs.75,000.

Speaking in the Tamil Nadu Assembly, Vijay also announced a waiver upto Rs.75,000 for loans ranging between Rs.75,000 and Rs.one lakh. A total of 13.34 lakh farmers will benefit from the loan waiver scheme, news agency PTI reported.

He added that despite financial constrains, his government announced an additional support of Rs.953.06 crore for farmers.

The announcement comes as Vijay completes 100 days in office, marking a major milestone in the states history.
