Suvendu sees 177 seats for BJP as Abhishek focuses on Nandigram
Kolkata, March 26 -- Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Suvendu Adhikari said on Wednesday that 7.9 million "fake" voters were removed from the electoral roll during the special intensive revision (SIR). He also predicted that his party would win 177 of 294 assembly seats in the two-phase polls in April.
Comparing the initial enumeration phase, the publication of the voters' list on February 28 and the first supplementary list on March 23 to breakfast, lunch and evening snacks, Adhikari said at a rally in West Bengal's East Midnapore district: "5.8 million were removed during breakfast, 0.7 disappeared during lunch and 1.4 million were gone while people were having tea and peanuts in the evening. The wait is on for dinner to be served."
