India, May 12 -- Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has warned affiliated colleges and recognised institutions that admissions to first-year courses for the 2026-27 academic year will be suspended if they fail to upload details of eligible teaching staff on the university's BOD portal by May 18.

The university has repeatedly extended deadlines for institutions to submit faculty strength data, but many have yet to complete the process. Calling the latest extension the "final opportunity," SPPU said no further extension will be granted.
