Meerut, Sept. 6 -- A Samajwadi Party (SP) district vice-president Haji Mohammad Usman has been booked for "obstructing public way and creating public nuisance" after a video of him offering prayers on the premises of the government-run circuit house in Moradabad was widely circulated online, police said on Saturday. Police filed a case against Usman on Friday based on a complaint filed by the circuit house's in-charge junior engineer Anil Kumar, who alleged that Usman parked his vehicle on the road leading to the circuit house and offered prayers behind it on Thursday during a review meeting of SP leaders, police said.
