Sewage connections to be cut if STPs non-functional: GMDA
India, Sept. 18 -- The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) on Thursday directed group housing societies, licensed colonies and commercial establishments to ensure their sewage treatment plants (STPs) are operational, failing which their connections could be disconnected.
The directions were issued by GMDA chief executive officer (CEO) PC Meena during a meeting with several departments, including the Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB), National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), Gurugram Metropolitan Rail Limited (GMRL), Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC), and municipal corporations.
