New Delhi, July 8 -- The cooperation ministry is stepping up its focus on seed production as part of the government's "Sahakar Se Samriddhi" vision, with the Bharatiya Beej Sahakari Samiti Ltd. (BBSSL), leading efforts to expand the production, procurement and distribution of quality seeds through the cooperative network. Speaking at the ministry's fifth foundation day celebrations this week, Union home and cooperation minister Amit Shah said BBSSL is expected to emerge as the country's largest seed production company within the next three years.
