SC stays reinstatement of officer accused of clearing running track at Delhi stadium to walk dog
India, Sept. 12 -- The Supreme Court has stayed the reinstatement of senior AGMUT cadre officer Rinku Dhugga, who was compulsorily retired from service following a controversy in which she and her husband were accused of clearing the running track at south Delhi's Thyagaraj Stadium to walk their dog.
Her compulsory retirement was set aside by the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) on May 7, 2025, a decision later upheld by the Delhi High Court on April 15, 2026. The Union government challenged the reinstatement order before the Supreme Court.
