SC seeks response of BCCI, state units on 2025 Sports Act
New Delhi, Sept. 9 -- The Supreme Court on Tuesday sought the response of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and state cricket bodies to bring them under the National Sports Governance Act 2025. The order was passed by a bench headed by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant which is hearing applications with regard to implementation of the BCCI Constitution by state bodies.
The bench, also comprising justices Joymalya Bagchi and V Mohana said, "All cricket associations in the country are directed to take instructions on why the conditions of service of selected office bearers be not governed by the National Sports Governance Act 2025."
