New Delhi, May 30 -- The Supreme Court on Friday pulled up the Madhya Pradesh government for acting against illegal sand mining in the National Chambal Sanctuary only after judicial intervention, Reviewing the state's response to an HT report published on May 25 that highlighted unabated transportation of illegally mined sand, the bench of justices Vikram Nath and Sandeep Mehta said: "You are admitting that sand was being moved in tractors but you say, it was mined previously."
