Kolkata, Aug. 9 -- A political storm erupted in West Bengal after a local Trinamool Congress leader allegedly died in police custody at Halisahar in North 24 Parganas on Saturday. The deceased, Birju Keot, was the husband of Jenny Sharma Keot, ex-councillor of Kanchraoara Municipality. Police said he was arrested on August 1 and booked under BNS sections relating to cheating, assault, outraging a woman's modesty and the Arms Act.
