PWD sanctions rRs.r291 cr for Yamuna Vihar-Bhajanpura flyover
India, Aug. 14 -- The Public Works Department (PWD) has sanctioned Rs.291.10 crore for construction of a 1.4-km flyover between Yamuna Vihar and Bhajanpura on the Maujpur-Majlis Park corridor, officials said on Thursday.
The sanction, issued on August 6, allows payment to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for the project along Mangal Pandey Marg.
A four-lane flyover will form the lower deck of Delhi's first double-decker viaduct, with a metro line running on the upper deck, officials added.
The PWD issued the sanction after the Expenditure Finance Committee, chaired by chief minister Rekha Gupta, approved the expenditure in a meeting last month.
