New Delhi, July 26 -- President Droupadi Murmu on Saturday accepted the resignation of union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan who stepped down from his position following widespread protest over paper leaks. Union minister Pralhad Joshi was given additional charge of his portfolio. In a communique, Rashtrapati Bhavan said, " The president as advised by the Prime Minister, has accepted the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan from the Union Council of Ministers, with immediate effect, under clause (2) of Article 75 of the Constitution of India."
