PMC clears rRs.r578 crore waste-processing contract
India, Aug. 15 -- The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has approved a Rs.577.96 crore, 15-year contract to process 500 metric tonnes of waste daily at the Devachi Uruli waste depot. It approved a policy allowing unauthorised overhead cables to remain temporarily for one year, subject to an annual fee.
The waste-processing contract has been awarded to Bhoomi Green Energy Envirocare LLP, which quoted Rs.772 per tonne, against Rs.1,045 quoted by Antony Lara Enviro Solutions Pvt Ltd. The proposed integrated facility will process 300 tonnes of wet waste and 200 tonnes of dry waste daily on about 12 acres.
