PM chairs semiconductor roundtable, calls for close collaboration with govt
New Delhi, Sept. 17 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said India should aspire to be among the early leaders in emerging technologies and asserted that the government is committed to a predictable and responsive policy environment.
Chairing a roundtable with senior executives from leading domestic and international semiconductor companies, a day before the inauguration of SEMICON India 2026 in New Delhi, the PM also emphasised the importance of close collaboration between the government and the semiconductor industry in shaping India's technology future, a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office said.
