India, Sept. 21 -- Parents of students appearing for both the Maharashtra HSC Board examinations and JEE Main 2026 Session 1 have raised concerns over a clash between the two examination schedules. Both the JEE Main Session 1 and the Maharashtra HSC practical examinations are scheduled during the same period - January 21 to 30, 2027.

Parents said the overlap could put Science stream students in a difficult situation as HSC practical examinations are compulsory and carry internal assessment marks, while JEE Main is an important entrance examination for admission to engineering programmes.
