India, April 2 -- A district court in Amritsar on Wednesday sent Patti MLA and former minister Laljit Singh Bhullar to 14-day judicial custody in connection with the suicide of Punjab State Warehousing Corporation (PSWC) district manager Gagandeep Singh Randhawa.
Bhullar was presented in the court after his police remand ended. The police sought more remand citing that the investigation is pending. After hearing arguments from both sides, the court sent him to 14-day judicial custody.
The former minister, who was arrested from Mandi Gobindgarh on March 23, was presented in the court under heavy security.
