India, July 12 -- Residents of Sector 46 have raised concerns over "rampant" garbage dumping in and around their locality, alleging that a vacant plot in neighbouring Sector 42 has turned into an "unofficial dumping ground," posing environmental and public health risks.

According to Resident Welfare Association (RWA) members, the sector houses around 2,500 residents. Residents said the ongoing monsoon has worsened the situation, with rain intensifying foul odours and making it difficult for people to breathe.
