India, July 29 -- No abnormality was found in the fuel control switch locking mechanism of the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner after a pilot flagged a possible defect on an Air India London-Bengaluru flight earlier this year, the Civil Aviation Ministry has said.

The issue was highlighted by the pilot in command (PIC) in the aircraft's logbook as soon as the plane returned to Bengaluru on February 2. The plane was subsequently grounded by the airline.
