Bhopal/Morena, June 5 -- Arvind Mahor, the deputy collector of Morena in Madhya Pradesh, was arrested for allegedly raping a 27-year-old woman multiple times on the pretext of marriage, a senior police officer said on Thursday. According to the FIR, registered on Wednesday, Mahor befriended the woman through Facebook and later proposed to marry her. "On March 30, 2025, he allegedly picked her up in his car near her home and raped her inside the vehicle, assuring her that he would marry her soon. Thereafter, he raped her multiple times, but later refused to marry and threatened to wipe out her family if she filed any complaint," said a senior police officer.
