Mohali, March 21 -- The Punjab Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) has directed Omaxe Chandigarh Extension Developers Pvt Ltd to hand over the possession of a flat in its New Chandigarh project to two Moga buyers. It also directed the firm to pay 10.80% interest under Section 18(1) of the RERA Act, amounting to approximately Rs.30 lakh, on the Rs.68 lakh deposited by the petitioners, holding that the developer could not justify the prolonged delay beyond limited Covid relief.
The RERA partly allowed the complaint and ordered the developer to issue an offer of flat possession after obtaining the completion certificate from the competent authority.
