India, Aug. 7 -- The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Friday took strong exception to a US lawmaker's concerns over proposed amendments to the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2026, saying such legislative matters are "our internal affairs".

His remarks came days after US Congressman Riley Moorey said amendments to the FCRA would permit the Indian government to takeover churches and religious charities and would amount to "clear attack against Christians".
